Plan Your Visit My Stay in Croatia

đź“„ Documents & Visas

Most EU nationals may enter Croatia with a valid ID card; others need a passport valid at least three months beyond departure. No visa is required for short stays (up to 90 days) from most countries— double-check with your embassy well before travel.

🏨 Booking & Cancellation

Summer fills fast. Book campsites, apartments, or hotels at least 2–3 months in advance for best rates. Look for free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival—note that July and August stays are often non-refundable.

🩺 Health Insurance

EU/EEA citizens should carry their EHIC card. All others should purchase travel insurance covering medical emergencies, repatriation, and trip interruption.

đź’¶ Tourist Tax

Tourist tax (€1–€2/night) is payable on arrival and not included in most accommodation prices. Children under 12 and Jezera Municipality residents are often exempt.

📱 Local Apps & SIM

Download the Enturist app for ferry, bus, and train schedules. Pick up a prepaid SIM (A1, T-Mobile, Tele2) at the airport or local kiosk. Coastal coverage is excellent.

🌱 Sustainable Travel

Help protect Croatia’s pristine shores—use refillable water bottles, shop local, and follow “leave no trace” on beaches and trails. Stella Maris offers recycling and solar-powered facilities.

♿ Accessibility

While the site has paved paths and ramps, many historic towns and beaches use stone or pebbles. Visitors with mobility needs should contact us ahead to arrange assistance and accessible pitches.
