🎊 Unofficial Celebrations

Many towns celebrate patron saints’ feast days (kirbaj), such as Split’s St. Domnius (7 Feb) and Dubrovnik’s St. Blaise (3 Feb). Carnival (Pokladni utorak) sees vibrant parades before Ash Wednesday. Though Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and Good Friday aren’t official holidays, businesses often close early for celebrations.
