The Adriatic coast enjoys a Mediterranean climate: mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. Average annual temperature is around 16 °C.

☀️ Summer Months

June–August: clear skies, temperatures 25–34 °C, sea temps 22–27 °C. Perfect for swimming, sailing, and outdoor festivals. Apply sunscreen liberally and seek shade midday.

❄ Winter Months

December–February: temperatures 8–15 °C on coast; rare frost. Inland can see snow (Zagreb, Gorski Kotar). Many coastal businesses close, but mild weather allows quiet exploration.

Autumn sees occasional downpours, averaging 1000 mm/year. Winds include:

• Bora: cold, gusty NE wind—brisk but short-lived.
